This set was initialy created for the mr_melvis project at Comforstand records, a compilation called "Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka - Porn Music For The Masses". Chenard wasn't allowed in because he organized an orgy in Paris without inviting the Seattle crew ! The way some tracks were created could be compared to a gang-bang - everybody's fucking with one another... Here are porn horn, fuzzy bass, dirty lyrics and sesso matto drums for your free sex parties. Chenard is your porn star !

This imaginary vynil album is meant to test your stereo pick-up equipment. Contrary to what the soft voice sugests to you all along, there is no passive listening. 'Testez...' was created by Chenard Walcker in march 2002, but it was only released in early 2005 by the Free Sample Zone.

"Vodoun" plays on the contrast between soulful voices from Benin and the porn grooves of Chenard Walcker. The sound is rough, close to saturation. So Faders up ! Chenard went to Benin (Western Africa) years ago. He bought there some tapes by two traditionnal singers, Le Roi Alokpon and Alekpehanhou. All the voices of "Vodoun" were sampled from these two tapes. Benin is where is practiced the rite of Vodoun. It's also historically the place from where the slaves were sent to...

This short cut-and-paste album is dedicated to Serge Gainsbourg (1928-1991). It is credited to Nelson, even though made by Chenard Walcker, because all the samples he used here were taken from the Gainsbourg's discography only.

Kali is a destructive and creative aspect of God as the Divine Mother in Hinduism. She destroys only to recreate. Kalifornia, dedicated to Kali, was created on that very principle. Her name seems to be a female version of the word 'kala' (Sanskrit for 'dark' or 'time'- time in this form being a euphemism for death); it also means Black Female, in contrast to her consort, Shiva, who is white; and Kali is the common name for Energy in her form as Shiva's wife, or Shakti. Kali is naked exept her...

Druggy G. and nepO, two Americans from the east coast, found their drummer in the eastern suburb of London after having auditioned 7000 of them. They worked 9 months on the 3 tunes of this ep, which was released in limited edition in 1994. The Fuzz allowed Chenard Walcker to publish 'God Bless The Radio' as a free download, ten years after its original release, in the Free Sample Zone . Hip Hop'n Roll, baby!

The title "I Vanunu" is in reference to Mordechai Vanunu, the world's first nuclear hostage, who did 18 years of jail for having revealed to the London Times, in 1986, that Israel was making nuclear weapons. More infos on him here . The album was recorded in one shot and mixed just afterwards. It wasn't planned, and wouldn't have been done without Ram Orion, who proposed Chicky and Chenard to use his recording skills - and his studio - as they were at a terrasse driking black coffees...

We at FSZ are pleased to welcome a new oola-oop recycling artist who goes by the name of Run. Run is french. Run is cute - Da Doo Run Run - and he's a genuine encaustic tamer. The music from Recycle was recorded with his combo "les Tortues Sous Pression" ("Turtles Under Pressure") between 2001 and 2004. It is released here as an ecologic acoustic gesture. We think you should listen to his freak beats and follow his advice : sort to recycle.

Two books touched me in my childhood : "Where The Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak and "The Giving Tree" of Shel Silverstein. I had made a track inspired by the first (in the album Middle ), here is a free variation inspired by the second. These two children's books are absolute poetry. ///Chenard Walcker///

It all began one manic night in late march 2006... Moo is one of the creepiest, wild pumping thingy cut-and-pasted by Chenard Walcker. This is an album with fuzz guitar riffs, heavy swirling organs, hapsichord, flutes, saxophone, smooth voices, horns, weird synthetizers effects, dissonent pianos, sitar, loud basses & a handful of FAT BEATS ! Though it is a perfect match for the amphetamine and speed culture of the junkies that live in Chenard's neighbourhood in Paris, you won't have to take...

Helen Merrill would surely have felt funny about those 4 new versions of "My Funny Valentine". The voice was found on her delicious album "A Shade Of Difference" (1968). Here, her voice meets some false funky drops orchestras buit up by the Sand, who you might also know as Chenard. Anyway, go out and buy the original lp's by Helen Merrill.

Chenard's jazz-age funky cut-n-paste cubist appropriationist art urge the listener to step away from the computer and start dancing, or at least tap those toes. Funk, soul, jazz, and ethnic samples collide seamlessly and effortlessly in these groovy tracks, complemented by Chenard's equally groovy pop art cover graphics. Originaly released on Webbed Hand Records in nov 2004.

'Magirus Dentz' was inspired by a 8mm film seen in a found footage installation in Paris. This amateur film showed brand new german red fire trucks demonstrating their capabilities. But the brand of the trucks isn't 'Magirus Dentz' but 'Magirus Deutz'. I often swap letters, but here i've put one upside down.

Customers of the Merkury bar (Poland) say that this one is their favorite. Maybe it's because some voices i've embezzled here are quite recent. Or maybe this is only due to alcohol... The clueless track two is meant to say this : Michael Jackson should rather remember what he has done with kids instead of pretending sexy romance with grown-up girls.

They first did overdubs on a unfinished cut from the Moo sessions, Butterflying, but soon landed and dived deep into the C for the next three tracks. "One-Armed" is based on guitar patterns recorded by Geoffroy Vincens. This is the sound of C. The sound which creates a new dimension. This is a new style of music?!!??#

Don't be upset by this first cut-up set that Chenard and his crew created in one shot on 17 march 2002. They reworked the whole thing 4 years later : cut all the fat, deplaced some passages, etc. Those funky tunes last a bit more than 2 minutes for once, and were only intended for use with headphones and a phat blunt. You may think that a cut-up thingy called black veins is to be interpreted as an invitation to suicide. Well, IT'S NOT. NO WAY ! LIFE LIFE LIFE ! More infos here

Captain Beefheart met Chenard for a short recording session. The cute pasty things that came out may be heard as some sort of musical anagrams... Breakbeat heartbreaking anagrams. The two guys have already worked together once, and created a couple of songs, Tornado [fsz002] and Cruel [fsz004] , that you can play from here . And for some more pain, the song Electricity was also released in january 2005 on the compilation People Doing Strange Things With Electricity Too .

A weirdo funky stuff featuring some of the hottest dum dum boys i know, like Justin, Shooby "Human Horn" Taylor or Louie Louie who is "playing up to 14 trumpets in certain spots". But the fuzz here comes from 'Jaune Soufre', a poem of Malika SaÃÂïd, on which was overdubbed some kinda surrealist happy funk, with soli from many unknown instruments and rolling basses that contrasts a great deal with the dark poem Malika wrote. The following track, 'Shooby Taylor', is a...

The members of the combo "I Martelli Pneumatici" (The Spledgehammers) are sicilian and italian cut & paste activists that punctualy worked with Chenard Walcker. They spent a week together in the south of Italy during the summer 2004. Apart from tearing their pants at polpetta parties and dancing in empty swimming pools, they also did those five tracks. They decided not to release anything else together after they received threats from an organization called "la Piovra".

Lyrics like "Poum-Pa Poum-Pa Poum Doo-Bi-Doo" sure won't hurt anyone. So, you'll probably ask : what's the point ? Well, just burn the music on CD and eat it.

Another album featuring 13 new versions of the song "Brown Baby" originaly sung by Oscar Brown Jr. That's what you can call insanity, considering that Chenard Walcker has already made about 20 other versions, using that same voice. To listen to all the covers, Check here .

The Sand continues his series of ep dedicated to one and only tune. This time the song is Diamonds. The versions were performed by the Three Degrees with Chenard behind desks - one for each new year since 2001.

These boots are made for dancing. They feature R'n'B crap mainstream voices re-orchestrated. So if you don't like the tunes, just tell The Socks they suck ! 15 other tunes built-up upon that same idea were released on other Chenard Walcker releases. You can stream them all here .
